My first morning in Japan leads me back to Seiyu, a store much like the American "Walgreen's". I am still getting used to my family, and the culture shock is starting to creep up on me, but for now I'm taking my time and letting it all soak in.
I start the adventure off with a sizzle however, as my initial departure takes me from SeaTac International Airport, to Dallas/Fort Worth. This waste of a day was required to allow a timely arrival in Japan for the weekend of the 3rd, but it's implementation wasn't exactly requested.
I may be out of the country already, but I wanted to take some time to travel to Sakura-Con before I left. I was unfortunately misinformed on the date this year, and it's location. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to recover from my yearly lobotomy.
Expect footage from this quarter soon, I am currently in Dallas on my way to Tokyo later this morning.
For those who may have mistakenly stumbled across (or have sought out) this post and the posts that will follow, please be informed these are placeholders for the Japan Today: Japanese Culture, Literature, Cinema, Society, and Language - Spring Quarter blog I will be updating throughout the next few months.
